Surgical is a unit headed by professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and 2 senior Registrar and 1 Medical Officer. It has total 49 beds, from which 33 in male ward, 12 in female and 2 side rooms each in male and female ward, there are 2 supervisor of CPSP, i.e Professor Dr. Muzafaruddin Sadiq and Dr. Nadim Khan, Associate Professor. There are 29 trainees Medical Officer, 19 in General Surgery and 10 in other specialties. Apart from this we have full Nursing and Paramedical Staff.

About Surgical

Introduction

SERVICES

Appendectomy

Removal of the gallbladder, typically due to gallstones or gallbladder disease.

Hernia Repair

Surgical correction of hernias, which occur when an organ or tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall.

Removal of skin lesions, moles, or skin cancers, including melanoma excisions.

Gastrointestinal Surgery

Surgeries involving the stomach, intestines, and esophagus, including gastric bypass for weight loss.

Thyroidectomy

Removal of the thyroid gland, often performed in cases of thyroid cancer or hyperthyroidism.

Breast Surgery

Procedures such as lumpectomy or mastectomy for breast cancer treatment or breast reduction/augmentation for cosmetic purposes.

Colon and Rectal Surgery

Soft Tissue Surgery

Hemorrhoidectomy

Proctectomy

Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Placement

Insertion of a catheter into the abdomen for peritoneal dialysis.

Lady Reading Hospital

It was established in 1927and it is just 200 meters away in the south of the Grand Trunk Road, behind the famous historical Qila Balahisar. Famous MasjidMuhabat Khan,Ander Shehr bazaar, Qissa Khawani bazaar and Khyber bazaar is across the road of LRH. LRH is just outside historical wall in the jurisdiction of cantonment board. The anecdote of the hospital of its coming into being is that His Excellency Lord Reading, viceroy of India from 1921 to 1926, happened to visit Peshawar.
